It’s A Girl!

It’s A Girl!

I am excited to share with you all that Ross & I are having a BABY GIRL!!!

It’s been a struggle to keep this one a secret as we found out on the 16th December as we went privately to Window in the Womb as all I wanted for Christmas was to find out if we were having a Son or a Daughter. It was so hard to keep it from my parents the most as they have been by my side every step of the way but it was worth the wait for the reveal.

How did we reveal the news to our families?

We really wanted to announce the gender on Christmas day as no one knew that we were going for an earlier scan as our next one is booked in the New Year so you could imagine the surprise on both sides of our families faces when they opened up a Christmas box (presuming it was just another present) to see a pink “It’s a Girl” balloon pop out!

Do we have a name?

I think we do have a name as there is one that we keep going back to over and over but for now that is staying a secret until our little girl has arrived. But I will have a blog post about baby names in the new year as there is so much to say about it.

How do we feel about having a girl?

Most people thought we were having a boy, so the more I heard it the more I was convinced it was a boy also but I should of stuck with my gut instinct as early on in my pregnancy I kept saying it was a girl! We couldn’t be happier that we are having a little girl and finding out was such an amazing surreal, emotional moment. One of the happiest moments I will always remember. Lots of thoughts came to mind when we knew it was a girl, it made me think of the relationship my Mum and I have. How we are so close and how I really can’t wait to bond with my own little girl in the near future. I adore how my Mum and I go on shopping trips, go for afternoon tea, go to the theatre and all of these other little things that always make my day when we spend quality time together. I also can’t wait to see my parents as grandparents, this baby is their first grand child and my Brother’s first time being an Uncle. I already know that they are going to absolutely adore this little girl.

Christmas really was amazing this year and we can only thank everyone for your warm wishes and love for our little girl. I feel like I have been waiting a long time for this baby and the thought of holding them in my arms as the delivery date gets closer and closer just puts a smile on my face and I can’t wait to be this little girl’s Mummy soon.
