“★★★★★” Bet your bottom dollar your will be entertained
I remember watching Annie the film endlessly when I was a little girl and singing renditions of “Tomorrow, Tomorrow…” So it was an amazing experience to watch a beloved film come to life on stage.
We watch the story of an fiery, kind natured Annie who is an orphan. She believes that one day her parents will one day return for her and save her from the miserable life she has at the orphanage. Annie tries to rise above the tormet of the cruel Miss Hannigan who is played by Craig Revel Horwood who is a badie everyone loves to hate.
Annie’s luck changed when Mr Warbucks decides to adopt her. However Annie still dreams of finding her real parents and Oliver Warbuck dedicates himself to help her whilst also giving her everything her heart desires.
An AMAZING Annie and alongside her supporting girl cast members that really were outstanding. From the singing to the choreography, I especially enjoyed the energy from the performance of “Hard Knock Life”.
Craig Revel Horwood was brilliant with his costumes, singing and the whole stage presence. He really betrayed the character of Miss Hannigan with higher expectations that I could of imagined. Although his New York accent was a little unconvincing at time his fabulous singing and dancing really made up for it!
The whole cast are incredibly talented and it was so nice to soak up the old time favourite songs you associate with Annie. I guarantee you will head home singing “Tomorrow, Tomorrow I love ya, Tomorrow…” Have fun getting that song out of your head!
