What I’ve Packed In My Hospital Bag

What I’ve Packed In My Hospital Bag

Being 37 weeks pregnant I felt it was time to get organised and put together mine and the baby’s hospital bag ready for the big day. It feels really good to be so organised and it’s made me feel a little more at ease knowing that both bags are ready to go.

I’ve had a few requests from Instagram asking me what have I packed so I thought the best way was to share it by writing a blog post. I hope that this post somehow helps others who are in the same situation as preparing for a baby’s arrival can be terrifying.

Let’s start with Baby Gamble’s bag

& let’s not forget the little toy Zoomba is also packed away to meet his new friend.

I’ve tried really hard not to overpack but I also have in mind I don’t know yet how big she will be so the baby bag consists of 2 x Vests and 2 x Sleepsuits varying in size from Tiny baby – Up to 1 month. I placed the different sizes in clear zip lock bags, making it easier for Ross to find the size we need when it comes to dressing her for the first time.

I have also packed muslins, hats, scratch mitts, water wipes, bepanthen and some nappies.

Keep in mind when your packing your bag to not pack anything your’e not willing to get ruined. I’ve packed a nightie, flip flops, breast pads, Bridget Jones BIG PANTS x3, sports bra, disposable pants and 2 x packs of maternity pads (I have been told these are a must and you will usee lots!)

There are also some toiletries packed which include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, lip balm, hand gel, hair brush, hair bobbles and paracetamol. Another important thing to pack is an outfit for when you re ready to leave the hospital. I’ve gone for a simple slouchy vest and leggings so I am still comfortable after the birth.

After advice from some fellow Mum bloggers we also have some jelly babies, some snacks and 8 bottles of Isotonic drinks to keep us going.

Our Iso fix base is also fitted and ready to use in the car for when the time comes for us to head to the hospital. We are as prepared as we can be with our green notes and two hospital bags ready to go!

I love this! I also really like your backpack – I purchased a similar one last winter for a family trip because I figured if it works well as a diaper bag, it’ll be great for traveling, haha. Thanks for sharing!
